Research Notes: To Do: Further research is needed to confirm whether or not Erskin (age 21), Carilla (age 18) and Rebecca (age 6) were also children of John George Miles & Julia/Juliana McConnell - in addition to their other known children John (age 22) and Julia (age 17) as listed in the Census for 1850 for Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.
John married Julia/Juliana McCONNELL 27 on 12 Oct 1824.28 Julia/Juliana was born on 10 Sep 1793 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.29 and died on 2 Dec 1868 in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.29 aged 75.

4 i. Dr. Benjamin Fullerton MILES [SAR member no. 1409] 15 (born circa 5 Oct 1825 in Glen Cornell, Cambria, Pennsylvania - died 21-22 Apr 1899 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, U.S.A.) Benjamin married Sarah Perkins HANCOCK,19 daughter of James HANCOCK and Mary PERKINS,. Sarah was born in 183520 and died from 1881 to 188220 aged 46.

Lieut.-Colonel John Blanchard MILES [Forty-ninth Regiment] 30 was born on 20 Sep 1827 in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.,30 died on 10 May 1864 in Spottsylvania30 aged 36, and was buried in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, U.S.A..30 John married Belle CREIGH,30 daughter of Hon. John CREIGH [California] and Unknown, on 29 Feb 1864.30
iii. Julia MILES [DAR member no. 13776] 31 was born on 14 Sep 1831 in Pennsylvania32 and died on 17 Oct 191033 aged 79. Julia married William DORRIS 34 on 22 Dec 1862.35 William was born on 10 Sep 182233 and died on 2 Sep 190433 aged 81.
9. Julia/Juliana McCONNELL,27 daughter of Major Matthew McCONNELL [DAR Ancestor] and Ruth HALL, was born on 10 Sep 1793 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.29 and died on 2 Dec 1868 in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.29 aged 75.
Julia/Juliana married John George MILES 25 on 12 Oct 1824.28 John was born on 13 Mar 1797 in Bellefonte, Centre County, Pennsylvania26 and died in Sep 1877 in Peoria, Illinois, U.S.A.26 aged 80.
