22. Sgt. Henry DAWSON [70th Foot Regiment, emigrated to Canada] 121 was born from about 1795 to 1797 in Norwich, Norfolk, England,122 died on 24 Nov 1864 in Rawdon, Quebec123 aged about 68, and was buried on 27 Nov 1864 in Christ Church Cemetery, Rawdon, Quebec.124

Research Notes: To Do: Further research is needed to identify Sgt. Henry Dawson's ancestry.

A possible source is Henry's military service records which should be included in the British Archives collection at Kew, near London, England.

Information regarding an alleged other son of Sgt. Henry Dawson - the "Beautiful Stoney Keppel Including the Village of Shallow Lake 1855-1986" (1986) book includes the wording "Another s/o [son of] Sargeant Henry Dawson, Daniel was in Keppel long enough to be recorded in the 1871 Census".
The 1851 and 1861 Census information for Rawdon, Quebec plus a 1962 Dawson-Huston Family Tree (by Wallace Dawson) all do not include a son named Daniel. The Daniel Dawson listed in the 1871 Census for Keppel, Ontario - was born about 1841 in Quebec - and may actually have been "Samuel" rather than Daniel - as Samuel was born in 1841 and does not appear on the 1871 Census.

Other notes:

(1) Notes from the Sergeant Henry Dawson (c.1795-1864) & Elizabeth Huston (c.1806-1868) Family Tree by Wallace Dawson and Robert W. Eadie (Dec. 1962):
