Research Notes: Jane was "probably" a daughter of Edward E. Graves & Ruth Jackman.
There were only two Graves families living in West Shefford (Bromont), Quebec in the late 1790's and early 1800's (the heads of these two families were both sons of Israel Graves & Margaret Eastman):
(i) Edward E. Graves married Ruth Jackman in 1793 in Boscawen, N.H. (Edward E. Graves arrived in West Shefford in 1796).
(ii) Gilman Graves (c.1782-1845) married Lydia/Lycia Pierce/Peirce (c.1780-1839) in ____ (Gilman Graves arrived in West Shefford sometime after his older brother Edward). Gilman Graves was likely too young to have been married in 1798 (age 16) to have been the father of Jane Graves.
