(d.946) (daughter of Edward I "the Elder", King of England); 2nd
wife Saint ADELAIDE of Burgundy (d.999) (widow of Lothar King of
Italy, daughter of Rudolf II, King of Upper Burgundy); Heinrich
I & Mathilde’s daughter GERBERGA (d.984); and her 1st
husband GISELBERT Duke of Lotharingia (d.939) (son of Reginar
(I) "Longneck" Count of Hainaut - House of Brabant).

In 947 Emperor Otto I confirmed the foundation of Einsiedeln
Abbey and donated land.
In 965 Emperor Otto I named Gregory, the third Abbot of
Einsiedeln, a Prince of the Holy Roman Empire - and his
successor Abbots held the title for over 800 years until 1806.
