The Golden Bull of 1222 - was a charter granted by King Andras (Andrew) II of Hungary (died 1235) -
that outlined the basic rights and privileges of the Hungarian Nobility and Clergymen and the limits
of the Monarch’s powers. The charter has been compared to the English Magna Carta of 1215.

The Millennium Monument was erected in Heroes’ Square in 1896 to mark
the 1000th Anniversary of the Foundation of the Hungarian State in 896.
The statues include the Seven Chieftains of the Magyars (including Arpad
or his father), other important Hungarian National Leaders
(including King Andras II), Female Statue of Peace, Knowledge &
Glory, Labour & Wealth, and the Memorial Stone of Heroes.

The Millennium Monument is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site -
Budapest, including the Banks of the Danube, the Buda Castle Quarter and
