At the Temple Church in London - Sir William Marshal, 1st Earl of
Pembroke (died 1219) served as a negotiator between King John and the Magna Carta
barons.
Sir William is buried in the Temple Church. In addition, Sir William’s
son Sir William was one of the 25 Magna Carta (1215) Surety/Guarantors.
The Magna Carta is a symbol of justice, fairness, and human rights.

Elias of Dereham was tasked with distributing some of the original Magna
Carta (1215) copies - and later supervised the construction of
Salisbury Cathedral.
