Descendants of Boso were Margraves of the Medieval March of Tuscany from 931 to 1001 - starting with Boso (died after 936).
Lucca was the capital of the Medieval March of Tuscany during the 10th & 11th Centuries.

Historic Centre of Lucca - is on the tentative list for Italy for submission as a UNESCO World Heritage Site candidate.
