8. James DAND [Flax Mill Manager, Scotland] 56 died before 1851.57

Research Notes: Further research is needed to identify James's ancestry.

A possible match for James's father is Thomas Dand who had a son named James who was baptized on 17/12/1813 in Liff, Benvie and Invergowrie, Angus, Scotland.
(i) The location matches James's marriage location.
(ii) The year of baptism is close to the year of birth for James's wife Beatrice Amos.

A possible match for James and three generations of his ancestors - points (a), (b) and (c) - based on information from the book "Angus Monumental Inscriptions - pre 1855" (1979) (Volume 3) by A. Mitchell - complemented by a website:
(a) James Dand died 29/06/1846 age 33 and is buried with his parents Thomas Dand from Denhead of Gray (died 07/03/1848 age 58) and Elizabeth Phin (died 26/08/1852 age 63) all buried at the Churchyard of Mains, Dundee, Angus, Scotland.
(b) The parents of Thomas were apparently David Daund/Dand (died 22/05/1831 age 83) and Helen Miller (died 08/11/1817 age 56). David and Helen were married 02/01/1782 in Dundee, Angus, Scotland.
(c) The parents of David were apparently Patrick Dand and Agnes Chalmers.
Notes regarding James Dand, Flax Mill Manager:
(i) James's spouse Beatrice Amos is listed as a widow by the 1851 Census.
(ii) The calculated year of birth for the above burial is close to the year of birth for James's wife Beatrice Amos.
(iii) The County location for the above burial matches James's marriage location.
